Home > Whisky Reviews > Hakushu 12 Year Old

Well, this is my first attempt at a video review. I’d be interested in your honest feedback.

For those that prefer to read, I’ve written a very brief highlight of the whisky and the notes. I hope you enjoy.

The Hakushu is one of 2 Distilleries owned by Suntory, the other being Yamazaki. I like their fresh whiskies and this entry level 12 year old is no disappointment.

Nose: Fresh, Forest Pines, Green Apples and a little oak and vanilla

Palate: A beautifully sweet pear, again a little green apple, light oak and spice. It’s not very complex but balanced nonetheless.

Finish: Medium long. Medium in heat too. A little spice and sandalwood. On a revisit after a few drops of water, some tamarind.

Overall, a decent whisky. I hope you enjoy.
